About us
Queen Camel Bowls Club is a friendly local village club with a membership of 30 generally split equally between men and women. We play in the Wessex Mixed Triples League and friendly matches throughout South Somerset. We are a summer club only with no indoor playing facilities.
During the closed season there are monthly acivities including breakfast mornings, quiz nights, skittles & games evenings.
History
Lawn bowls started in Queen Camel in 1948. What started on the lawn at the Old Vicarage on the High Street moved to its present location in 1976. After fund raising and various grants the Green & the Pavilion were developed and form the basis of the Club today.
